:) No, seriously, if you go out to eat at an Irish restaurant, you almost invariably get overcooked vegetables of 2 or 3 of the following kinds: broccoli, carrots, swedes, parsnips, and/or broccoli/cauliflower mix. Plus at least one, usually two, and occasionally three kinds of potatoes.

Yum, butternut squash. I also see asparagus, beets, and radishes in there, which leads inevitably to the question: what isn't exotic in Ireland, then?
