'Round and 'round and 'round she goes...

(c) 2007 Ms. Huis Herself at musenmutter.blogspot.com

...but which way? Nobody knows.*

I saw this spinning lady through Notes from the Trenches. I don't know how well it will work with a slower connection, but it's intriguing! Don't click on it if you're trying to get stuff done, though...

And let me know - which way is she spinning for you?

*Ok, that's really more like, "Nobody can agree because some people see her spinning clockwise and some see her spinning counterclockwise (or anticlockwise to use a more European phrasing), but it sure is fun/frustrating to try to get her to switch from the first direction you see," but that's way too long and doesn't rhyme.

When I first saw this, last week, I initially saw her spinning counter-clockwise, but could easily switch her to clockwise. Then I couldn't switch her back. This time when I looked, I could only see her spinning clockwise.

How 'bout you?

I first saw her going counterclockwise. That's the default of how I see her most of the time. If I want to switch her, I have to just look at her feet and block off the rest of the screen and then it'll sometimes switch. Or if I draw a circle going the way I want her to go on the screen and just focus on that, I can get her to switch.

Ditto the Pusher, the first time I saw it, she was counter-clockwise for a few seconds and then she switched to clockwise and I couldn't get her to go back! So she is usually clockwise for me. (I did figure out that if I just look at her legs and let my eyes unfocus, I can get her to change directions).

Hot topic this week!

I see her spinning in both directions... very odd to see the direction change.

I too can see her spinning both directions if I try, but mostly I stare at her boobies and forget to pay attention to which direction she is spinning.

I think the graphic is changing. When it changed direction for me the opposite leg was lifted. I would go with it's another web site messing with the truth of what it's presenting...but maybe that's just me.

I can only see her going clockwise, which surprises me. And I can't even begin to figure out how it would look otherwise. I understand the concept, and normally I can get things like this to switch (convex/concave optical illusion), but not this one.

Standing on my head was the only way I could get her to switch to anti-clockwise. Seriously - I can't get her to switch from clockwise.

I first saw her going clockwise, but after reading the text I glanced back and she was going the other way. Guess I'm brain ambidextrous.
