You know you're overrun by rodents...

...when your 3-year-old puts a chunk of food on her spoon sitting on the table and tells you it's a 'mousetrap.'

Mr. Kluges may call it the House of 42 Doors, but we're less than a dozen away from having caught 42 mice.

that be a whole lot o' mice!

Are they fully grey or do they have white bellies? If they are white underneath, they are probably coming in from outside, rather than actually having full time residence in your house....

White bellies. If they are coming in from outside, I'm returning them outside too, just not quite in the same state. What kind are white bellied kinds?

hee. I used to do that too. Careful of the next stage, when she sets the trap off by smacking the edge of the spoon and launching it across the table.

That's funny. Is she playing spider squasher yet, too?

Deer mice. They come in when the weather starts to get cold. My folks are having to set the trap brigade at their place too. You're hit with a double whammy of them not having human population controllers around and coming in from the cold. Good news is that by spring it should defenately be better. (i know-long time) But, you should get ready for more every fall.

Maybe if we invited BIGGER spiders into the house, that would take care of the mouse problem...

Oh dear. Mousetrap, indeed.

Maybe you could rent some big farm cats.
