Ok, I've got a question for you all. Mr. Kluges loves Thanksgiving and feels it gets too short-changed by the Christmas season (and shopping season) coming early. Therefore, in deference to his feelings and because it's been so busy this year, we haven't really done much Christmas shopping at all, nor are our cards ordered, etc.
So here's my question:
What percentage are you done with your holiday shopping?
(If it seems like y'all are also not very done, then I'll feel better; if you're close to completion, it can be a reason me to talk Mr. Kluges into watching the girls while I go shopping without them! I win either way.)

In my family, we refuse to even THINK about Christmas before December and since we have 4 birthdays in the month leading up to the 25th, we usually start panicking on or about 12/21. But then I really get into the holiday spirit because then it feels like Christmas.
We are about 66% done - Only large items left! I went out on Friday, though, and got a ton done. I generally start shopping in Sept/Oct, but didn't start until I went out with Jaysan in Nov this year - we go shop for his mom when Ang goes for NaNo.
I have resisted Black Friday shopping for years but I have come to realize that they really do have fantastic deals and good sales on stuff we wanted. I missed two great items by not going early, and I probably will go early next year to get them.
Uh... I'm really bad this year and have less than 1% done. Feel any better? It's hard to go shopping in the states in a strange way, because everything is so boring and everyone has access to the same things. I can't get anyone anything unique. Also, we only have one car, so that's making it tough this year.
I'm nearly done. I have ajd left, a couple of special order things, and then stocking stuffers. I hate finishing earlier on one hand, but I do like the deals. This was my first year at Black Friday, and I did get some pretty silly deals.
We're with ya on the "don't overlook Thanksgiving" thing, Dude feels the same way!
Crap. For all the shopping I've been doing, I am only about 30% done. Though I think I've got all the stocking stuffers done. I am wondering where Syl and Veggie were shopping for good Black Friday deals?? Maybe I wasn't shopping for the right stuff?
I'm hoping the bulk of the rest of it can be done online...
You gotta review the ads with a fine tooth comb on Thursday. Walmart had a Garmin GPS for cheap, Target had a TV deal, both of which I missed. I did get some great movies at Target for cheap, though, and thanks for the movie night basket idea, AKJ! It's going to turn out well.
I did toys at Kohls for my Adopt a Family. They were 50% off, and I think worth it. That was really the only thing I was willing to brave. I did get some movies on amazon for a good deal, and books for some other people. Mostly it was about trying to get the mail order stuff done earlier.
Zero percent. I did get my dad a scarf over the weekend and told him it was a Christmas present so he'd take it without arguing or trying to pay me back for it, but I don't have any actual Christmas presents purchased, and I'm not at all bothered by that.
Easy - 0%. I also refuse to participate in anything X-mas related until after Thanksgiving. I had to keep telling my brother-in-law to turn off the X-mas music on the drive to/from Thanksgiving, and that was enough to annoy me. My family has often cut down the tree on that weekend, which is kind of a nice family tradition, but nothing until that Friday, at the very earliest.
I have done Pumpkinpie and three other kids of friends, and I have partial presents for Misterpie and his two sisters, but have to finish those gifts and his parents. My dad and his girlfriend are done, my sister and mother I have plans for, but haven't shopped/painted yet. So maybe a bit over half?
